Christmas Time!

Hey All,

Sarah and Andy here on a snow white Sunday night! Its almost Christmas time as we hope you have all realised by now. For our family and friends in France its getting colder and for our family and friends in Australia its must be getting a lot hotter now. But for us two here in Canada its snow snow snow season.

Its now 8 days until our official 10 day holiday begins! from the 23rd to the 3rd of January. This year being our first and only year being engaged at Christmas time we plan to spend most of our 10 days in Montreal with family and friends.

On the 24th we will be here at the YWAM base to celebrate Christmas with all those here who do not have a lot of family around. Our family this year will be Rebecca and Gabriel (Sarah's sister and brother in-law, also soon to be Andy's) and their two twin baby boys.

On the 26th we hope to volunteer most of our day at a food drive for families in need in northern Montreal. We also hope to learn some French Christmas songs to play on the day.

Since this is our first year together for Christmas we are going to be discovering what we can do as a pair. We will also be seeing what family traditions we can blend or inherit from our amazing parents as well as invent our own special traditions.

We just want to wish all of you a lovely Christmas time this year, May God bless your families and your friends and may your celebrate whole heartedly what this holiday is all about: the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ.

Much Love
Andy and Sarah

Hey tout le monde

Hello everyone

Ok so as you know the quiet season here for me is soon to be ending with the begining of the AMDTS school going from January to June. Sarah is here at the base and We are hunting for a job for her, We are also planning for our wedding and life afterwards.

We are in need of many thing at the moment, including finances for our wedding and honeymoon, as well as for our trip back to Australia to celebrate our marriage with my family. But the most pressing need is that God would provide a job for Sarah here in the local townships and as soon as possible. But God is good and he is out provider, our faith is being streched and grown at the moment but im sure thats Gods work in us to. After all this is one of the first times we get to rely on God and see him provide yet again together as a pair.

These are our most imedite prayer needs and we would greatly apprecite it if you would pray into them with us, and please feel free to write to us at frewenlord@yahoo.com.au we would love to hear from you all family and friends.

God Bless
Andy and Sarah

Back from my holiday

Hey everyone

Well im now back at the base with all my family friends here. It was an amazing 2 weeks in Paris with Sarah and some of both our familys.  We did everything from sight seeing to eating out to wedding ring and wedding material shopping, haha you know i used to think planning a wedding could be quick and snappy but im finding that thats not always the case but hey its also more fun than i could ever have imagined.

Back home now here at the base its the sick season and the flu is going around fast. i think about 5 of us including me hav it at the moment. My job is still nice and simple here i work with the maintenance team renovating and fixing (and learning a great deal about everything as i go along) and then emailing the applicants for the up and comming AMDTS in January.

Its getting colder here now which im enjoying because its the way i remember the base when i first arrived here in January of this year. Autumn is beautiful here, everything really does go orange and yellow and sometimes red and pink.

Sarah is moving back to the base from Montreal this weekend. She will be here until the wedding working part time at the base and part time teaching somewhere, thats what we are praying for at the moment. We will have from the end of august to the wedding to prepare everything since i wont be going on the outreach phase of the school this year. We are inviting also to our wedding all the staff and students who will be here at the time so its going to be one amazing international wedding. Ill keep you posted as to how the wedding planning goes as well.

Everything is slowly coming together for the AMDTS 2010 we are now going to have 10 staff!! 5 of which are from the previous school! The school looks like it might more French speakers than English speakers this year.

All in All its getting to the end of the quiet season fast and soon we will start gathering as AMDTS staff again and not long after that it will be time for the school to start up. Here are some prayer requests i have;

Sarah's move back to the base will be fun and easy!
God would provide the perfect part time teaching job for Sarah soon after she arrives
God will provide financially for Sarah and I's wedding and to start our life together afterwards
God will bring the students of his choosing to the AMDTS 2010
and that God would heal all of us sick with the flu and not let it continue through the base

well thats about it, i hope your all doing well. May God bless you and keep you and may his plans for you come through everytime.

much love
Andy

A quick overview

Dear......well everyone

So its been quite a while now since i sent out one of those super cool update emails around the world to you all, and making a blog like this is something i have to admitt i have wanted to do for sometime now so..........tadar!!

Im still living here in beautiful French Quebec Canada at the YWAM (Youth with a Mission) base here in the small, and i really mean small town of Dunham. I live here with all the other staff and students, its really amazing living in community like this, your people skills get a real boost and so does your love for those you work with when you live with them to. Iv been here for about 9 months now and ill be here for another 9.

I recently got engaged to Sarah Rowley a very very beautiful French girl who i met during the first 6 months i was here and we plan to get married in June next year. Her sister and brother in-law are 2 of the base directors here and i work with them both, They're something special to.

Sarah and i are about to leave for a long awaited 2 weeks vacation to France where we will meet up with family and friends of both Hers and Mine. We are both SUPER excited for this time we have together! and to see some of our loved ones as well.

Its the off season for me here at the YWAM base, my job here is i staff a school form january through until june, its called a DTS (Decipleship Training School) Its a Rad Young missionary training school! The school i staff is also Arts and Music focused so i get to put my singer songwritter talents to good use for God.
This past school was amazing to staff, for the second half of the school we split into 4 different teams and went to 4 different countries, China, Russia, India, and my team went to Cameroon in Africa. It was yet again another eye opening experience and a life changing and moral changing once. We fed the poor, hung out with the blind, visited those in prison, and loved and evangelized to those around us.

Its been an amazing 9 months and those are just the main points of what God has done with me these past months. I miss you all and I love you all, and THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! to all those who are supporting me financially and in your prayers! they matter so so much here!

Andy
